I need to talk to you about motivation.
I will preface this by saying if you think you don’t have motivation, but you are reading this blog. Well, I think you must have some sort of motivation, even if you don’t know it yet.
Like this first blog, I’ve had the motivation to start for a long time.
Well… a long time for me, a couple weeks, for some of you thinking of starting your fitness journey, it may have been months, even years.
Most people don’t struggle to get into the gym, they struggle with what to do when they are there
Today, we are talking about something that can stop anybody in their tracks, even me. Mental Blockers.

That’s exactly what a mental blocker can feel like ^
You stopped going… But not through a lack of motivation to get fit, but out of avoidance of not knowing what to do.
Why do I know this? Because I helped somebody get out of this cycle just the other day.
They hated the way they looked in the mirror > signed up to the local gym > realised they knew nothing about how to lose weight > were still paying the gym membership 3 months later and is no longer going (well… is again now ๐)
But they stopped, not because they didn’t want change. But because they didn’t know how to change.
These are two very different things.
The good thing is, there are a few different ways we can get you out of this cycle, and I will give you 3 options below.
Way 1: Youtube. Incredible to visually see how machines work, how to lift weights and how to workout when in the gym.
Way 2: GPT. Incredible for out of gym advice. Want to learn how many calories you need to burn? ask GPT. Want to know how fit you should be aiming to be at your age? GPT. Think of it as a possibility of being a coach in your pocket at all times.
Way 3: Ask. This one is not for the faint hearted. Going to the gym and asking others for advice is how I started my journey, and it’s how you can start yours.
Now ask yourself, is it a mental blocker stopping you?
Like all advice, this won’t be for everyone.
I will just keep identifying problems and solutions one by one in the hopes I can help more people.
But to know if this is what has stopped you from getting fitter, just think.
